#FAIL! at IR16

WORKSHOP DATE: October 21, 2015

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: September 10, 2015

Our second #FAIL! workshop will be held at the Internet Research Conference (IR16).

IR16 will be held in Phoenix, Arizona, from October 21 to 24, 2015. Workshops will all take place on Wednesday, October 21. Our workshop is scheduled for the morning (9-12 am).

The three hours workshop at IR16 will consist of short presentations of about 15 minutes, followed by discussions in which we aim at collaboratively searching for alternative solutions for the presented problem. We welcome all IR16 participants to join the workshop and to participate in the discussions!

In addition, presentations will be selected based on a Call for Submissions. Each submission is supposed to answer the following questions: What did the authors try to achieve – and what did not work out as expected? What can others learn from this approach?

Submissions will be reviewed by our program committee and judged by their relevance as “lessons learned” that help to advance the interdisciplinary field of social media studies.

The #FAIL! workshop at Internet Research 16 will also include a summary of the case studies presented during the first #FAIL! workshop at WebSci15.
